Objectsオブジェクト

I love realism. This is the art type I want to work the most in. I’ve been practising by drawing random things lately. I asked friends to suggest me any object so that I could practise with it. This motivates me more in a way. I think it’s nice when it’s someone else’s idea. It makes me want to finish earlier and better so I can show them and get their personal opinion on their own suggestions.

The first suggestion I got was a shoe. I chose a kind of classic style one. I wanted to practise many objects, and therefore I chose to make the drawings a bit small.

The second drawing suggestion i had was a katana. The details I wanted for this turned out to be a bit difficult to illustrate. That is mostly because the drawing is only around 6cm*8cm.

I really liked making these small practise drawings. I’m planning on doing a lot more too. Maybe I’ll even create my own little collection. I’d love to hear more suggestions from anyone here too.

An unexpected school art project…

This is the beginning of my portrait. I start by getting the proportions right. This is one of the most important steps in portrait drawing.

Here I start adding more contrast. I get darker colors by using softer pencils. I layer the color instead of drawing too hard.

These pencils are high quality and works for many types of drawing. My most used pencil is the HB. This is the most basic pencil in here and it works good for most things. Though when I started to add shadowing I went more over to 6B.

Here we see that I added the darkest colors too early and that made it more difficult to blend it with the softer lighter shadows.

When the portrait was done I was very satisfied with the realism. In my opinion it is not hard spotting the person who is drawn. I’ll have to choose this as my best drawn portrait til now. You might find the choice of person to draw very odd, but it was all part of a school project so don’t worry ;P

Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!

This ink drawing was done on a kind of yellowish toned paper. I believe that is fitted for the look I’m going for. I find it very satisfying to do inking, and the end result is something I’m happy about.

Behind my eyelids are islands of violence.

Soldier

I played some war game, and I liked the theme stuff and I thought the characters looked good. This guy was’nt a character in the game, just a reference I found online. The reference looks to be from some cold country because he is wearing so much and thick clothing. Lately ive really enjoyed just drawing with pencils (also because I can’t find my pen😀.)

Boxer

I just finished the Netflix show DareDevil, and I liked it a lot. If you are familiar with the show you would know that Matt’s father was a boxer, that’s the main reason why I decided to draw this. I think I want to start drawing more people, maybe some more DareDevil characters. If you look at the drawings face you would see that his pretty beaten up. I think it was really fun to draw this because I havent really drawn realistic people that much, just manga and anime.
