Unfinished artworks

I like starting new projects a lot. So much that I don’t finish the old ones before I start new ones. These are some of the works I’ve started, but never finished.

These are all watercolor pieces with flower themes. It’s no secret that I like this topic.

The first flower was going to be a water lily. I went with a color range that was a bit dark. This could help indicate that it was around nighttime.

The second piece is a still life painting. I wanted to practice by painting a few different objects in the same work. I usually go for very simple artworks where I focus on one object. This was a bit of a challenge for me.

The last picture is from a rose I began painting. I’ve painted quite a lot of roses before. This one was smaller than I’m used to. Therefore I had a bit of an issue getting all of the details right. It’s far from done and I wonder if I’ll ever get to finish it.

I also hit one year on Duolingo!
I’m learning French as my 5th language. It makes learning into a game. I wish learning art could work like this too X)

Rose

This is a rose made with watercolors. It was a very relaxing process, but it also took a while. I used many different shades of pink to make this as lively as possible. In the start I used the wet on wet technique. Afterwards the paint was thiccer and I used it to make details with small brushes. I mixed some yellow into the green to make different shades here too.

Feelin’ Blue

I started this one a long time ago. Too often I don’t finish, but I decided to do a post anyway. Especially because it’s summer and this was associated with water.

My watercolor book is from “Grieg Design” It was around 5$, but the quality and number of papers have a higher value in my opinion. I’m very happy with it.

I used this watercolor palette from “Alf Bjercke” Not the cheapest option, but the colors have good quality and are highly pigmented. It has lasted a long time, but it’s expected from the price.

Then where I landed off was inking. “Uchida Yoko” is a Japanese brand with good quality. It’s highly pigmented, acid free, non-toxic, lightfast, photo safe and most importantly water-proof. It’s also rather cheap and long lasting. I use the 0.05 for most drawings. Especially when there is a lot of details.

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead has to be one of my favorite Tv shows ever. I love both the game and the show, and something both have in common is a white house. They have really different stories with different characters, but both have had something to do with a white house.

Lately I have been looking around online after inspiration. I found a watercolor painting of a white house, and thought it looked really cool so I decided to remake it. This is how it turned out, I was really happy about the results.🏡

South Park

This is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever watched. I’ve loved the show for years and watched all 21 seasons. On my blog I’ve posted drawings of other shows that i love, but South Park has to be my favorite one. I have drawn other drawings of South Park people like Kenny, and he’s my favorite character. I know that in one of the earlier season’s they were planning on removing Kenny. Im so glad they didn’t.

Here I’ve painted the main characters with watercolor, and I’ve inked with 0.05 fineliner. I use a Japanese brand called “UCHIDA YOKO CO.,LTD”. I really enjoy this brand cause it’s acid free, non-toxic. Lightfast, waterproof and photo safe. For other areas I’ve used a 0.5 fineliner that is fade proof. This pen isn’t as good as the thinner one, but it’s much cheaper. Most of the writing on the pen has faded (it’s supposed to be fade proof haha.) So I dont know the brand.
